Bully Bullhead Weekend

The Annual Bully Bullhead parade on Saturday featured nearly 100 entries of all kinds, from antique cars and farm machinery to horses of all shapes and colors.

Jay Schoning was named the Lost Island/Ruthven Betterment Association’s 2011 Citizen of the Year. He was introduced last Friday at the Iowa State Bank annual hot dog BBQ. Schoning serves on the Ruthven City Council and is secretary of the Lost Island/Ruthven Betterment Association. He has worked at Eaton Corporation for over 24 years and he is a photographer and writer for the Ruthven Zip Code.
