Graettinger/Terril Community School To Award Diplomas This Saturday
GRAETTINGER A total of 23 seniors will receive their diplomas this Saturday, May 14, during Commencement Exercises at the Graettinger/Terril High School. Ceremonies will begin at 1 p.m. in the high school gymnasium in Graettinger. This is the first time that Commencement will he held on a Saturday at Garettinger/Terril.
With a class motto of “Being us and having fun, The class of 2011 is number one!”, the seniors have selected the colors of black and orange as the class colors, with the white carnation as the class flower.
Serving as the Honorary Junior Ushers are Leah Bisenius and Mitch Girres. Commencement ushers will be Nikki Brown, Logan Clabaugh, Josh Harris and Quinn Parker. Mrs. Garnet Voigt will provide the processional and recessional music for the Class of 2011.
Beau Craig, a member of the Class of 2011, will welcome guests to the Commencement ceremony. The Graettinger Concert Choir, under the direction of Mrs. Anne Sexe, will perform “It’s Time For Moving On” before the address, “Graettinger/Terril Memories,” which will be offered by senior class members Kerri VanKleek and Ryan Schany.
A multi-media slide show featuring the seniors, developed by class members Kerri VanKleek and Chelsea Naab will be shown prior to the Valedictorian Addresses, which will be delivered by Lindsay Flaharty and Zach Benedict.
High School Principal Jesse Ulrich will present the class to Graettinger/Terril School Board President Kyle Norris and Superintendent Randy Collins for the presentation of diplomas.
Class members Ty Bisenius and Zach Harris will make the presentation of the Class of 2011 portrait to Mr. Collins before senior Jesse Nissen offers closing remarks.
Graettinger/Terril also conducted Baccalaureate Services Wednesday evening at the Graettinger United Methodist Church.
