Something Sweet

By Staff | Dec 28, 2010

First graders at Emmetsburg West Elementary were kept busy on Dec. 21, constructing their very own gingerbread houses before their Christmas break. The tiny houses were made from empty half-pint milk cartons and were covered in thick smears of frosting and sheets of graham cracker. The frosting was also used to make sure that the various candy decorations stayed in place. Above, Abby Kauten, Seth Freeman, and Aurora Peters (pictured, from left) applied the frosting to their milk cartons. The frosting was not only a great glue, but a tasty one, as well!
