Gifts for Military Men and Women

Members of Emmetsburg Retail Association will pay postage for eight additional boxes to be send to military men and women. Emmetsburg Kiwanis and Emmetsburg Retail Association are making sure that military men and women who are deployed will have packages for Christmas.

Members of Kiwanis were at the Post Office Monday with six boxes to be shipped overseas. Kiwanis paid for the postage and helped purchase supplies for the boxes. These also included a gift of beef jerky provided by Steve Barry from Jack Links.

Members of Emmetsburg Retail Association will pay postage for eight additional boxes to be send to military men and women. The boxes were provided by Iowa lakes community College Student Senate.

A total of 46 packages have been sent to military personnel who have been deployed. Word has been received that the earliest packages have reached their destination.
