Election Absentee Ballots Available
Voters can cast their absentee ballots at the Palo Alto County Auditor’s Office for the General Election which will be held Tuesday, Nov. 2. The Palo Alto County Auditor’s Office is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Voters may request an absentee ballot by mail by completing the “State of Iowa Official Absentee Ballot Request Form.” The form is on the Secretary of state website:

Saturday, Oct. 23, is the last day to pre-register for the General Election. The Auditor’s Office will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. that day for registration and absentee voting.
Anyone who has a change of address and those who have recently moved into Palo Alto County are encouraged to complete a voter registration form and send it to the Palo Alto County Auditor’s Office, P.O. Box 95, Emmetsburg, IA 50536. Voter registration forms are available at www.sos.state.ia.us or by calling the Auditor’s Office.
Saturday, Oct. 30, the Palo Alto County Auditor’s Office will be open for absentee voting from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
