Fastert and Johnston were in charge of a New Teacher’s Workshop at the IAAE Summer Conference in Ames recently, and drawing upon their own experiences in the classroom, developed what they called the B.I.N.D.E.R, – A Bunch of Info Needed During Educating R Students.

The goal of creating the B.I.N.D.E.R. was to create a resource that will be useful for teachers throughout their careers in the classroom.

The B.I.N.D.E.R. contains Keys to Success, Randomness, the First Day of Class, Lesson Plans, SAE/State Degrees/Proficiencies and other activities releated to Vocational Agriculture and FFA education. The pair also called upon their peers across the state to contribute information that might be useful for the project.
