Courthouse Square will be buzzing with activity Friday and Saturday, July 16 and July 17. “Lemonade Days” will be set up on the Courthouse Lawn with a dozen displays for shoppers.

“Retailers will be set up on the greenspace,” said Lora Blanchet, co-chair of Emmetsburg Retail Association. “Individual businesses will have merchandise on the lawn.”

Displays include promotion of the Emmetsburg Athletic Booster’s Club, sponsored by Iowa Trust &?Savings Bank; Emmetsburg Cheerleaders will be selling Lemonade, sponsored by Laurens State Bank; and Pizza Ranch will be selling pizza by the slice.

With each purchase at the Courthouse Square, shoppers have an opportunity to win one of five gifts of $50 in ERA?Bucks. Shoppers will receive a “blue” ticket at the Lemonade booths on the square that can be dropped off at ERA businesses. Five tickets will be drawn from total entries on Monday, July 19.

Shop on the Courthouse Square this Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and again on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.

The Farmer’s Market will also be on the Courthouse Square Saturday morning.

Lemonade treats will be served inside participating   businesses. In case of inclement weather, the sales will be moved into the stores.

“We are fortunate that Lemonade Days coincides with Rosefest at Wild Rose Casino &?Resort,” said Blanchet.

Rosefest 2010 features three outdoor concerts:?John Anderson tonight; The Guess Who on Friday night; and Pam Tillis and Sawyer Brown on saturday night. Three nights of drawings are also featured at Wild Rose Casino.

“We welcome everyone to the community and invite them to take part in Lemonade Days,” said Blanchet. “Look for the signs leading to the Courthouse Square. We invite everyone to choose a unique experience.”
