Young Ladies To Perform At 2010 Junior Miss Pageant

There is a tremendous amount of talent in the 2010 Irish Junior Miss Pageant. Judges will have quite a job selecting Little Miss Shamrock, Little Lassie and Irish Miss.

The pageant will be held Sunday, March 14, at the Emmetsburg High School Auditorium. The young ladies will take the stage at 3 p.m.

Little Miss Shamrock

Contestants for the Little Miss Shamrock Contest are between the ages of five and seven years. The little ladies are:

Hannah Adams of Emmetsburg, daughter of Darrin and Tricia Adams. For her talent, Hannah will sing “Butterfly Fly Away.”

Cayle Carter of Emmetsburg is the daughter of Casey and Cassady Carter. She will be singing and dancing to “Goodship Lollipop.”

Tatum Iverson of Emmetsburg is the daughter of Shannon and Renee Iverson. Tatum will be singing “Lullaby-Goodnight My Angel” for her talent.

Madison Manwarren of Emmetsburg will sing “I’m a Little Teapot” for her talent. Madison is the daughter of Jeff and Annie Manwarren.

Jadyn Nelson of Emmetsburg is the daughter of Brenda Majerus and Seth Nelson.

For her talent, Jaydn will be reciting a poem, “The Wearin’ O’ the Green.” 

Olivia Sanders of Emmetsburg is the daughter of Jason and Nicole Sanders. She will be singing “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star.”

Autumn Young of Emmetsburg is the daughter of Darrick and Karen Young. Autumn will recite a poem titled “E-Pride.”

Little Lassie

There are nine young ladies in the contest for Little Lassie. The girls are between the ages of eight and 11 years. These young ladies are:

Rachel Duhn of Emmetsburg, daughter of Marsha Duhn. For the talent portion of the program, Rachel will be singing “My Favorite Things.”

Chloe Garman of Whittemore is the daughter of Brian and Linda Garman. Chloe will be singing “New York, New York” for the talent portion of the pageant.

Shaylee Horst of Ruthven, daughter of Shona and Christopher Horst, will do a jazz dance routine. She will dance to the music “I Know You Want Me.”

Kayla Joyce of Emmetsburg is the daughter of Pat and Tina Joyce. Kayla will sing a vocal solo, “Happy Girl.”

Alison Laubenthal of Emmetsburg is the daughter of Al and Julie Laubenthal. Alison will play a piano solo titled “My Heart Will Go On.”

Alexis Louwagie of Emmetsburg is the daughter of Thad and Tanya Louwagie. Alexis will do a ballet dance to the music “Lucky.”

Bailey Naig of Emmetsburg is the daughter of Jeff and Tammy Naig. She will sing a vocal solo, “There’s a Hero.”   

Mary Nelson of Emmetsburg is the daughter of Jim and Diane Nelson. Mary will play a piano solo, “Irish Washer Woman.”

Erin Poeppe of Emmetsburg is the daughter of Mike and Mandy Poeppe. Erin will perform a tap dance routine to the music “I Just Can’t Wait to be King.”

Irish Miss

Contestants in the Irish Miss Pageant are between the ages of 12 and 16 years. The group includes:

Kiersten Aldous of Emmetsburg is the daughter of Steve and Jill Aldous. She will perform a pom/jazz dance to the music “Party in the USA.”

Hannah Bird of Emmetsburg is the daughter of Rick and Julie Bird. Hannah’s vocal solo is “At Last.”

Shelby Brindley of Emmetsburg is the daughter of Shelly and Mick Tonderum. Her vocal solo is “Jump then Fall.”

BriAna Campbell of Emmetsburg is the daughter of Kim Campbell. BriAna will play a piano solo titled “River Flows In You.”

Kiersten Duhn of Emmetsburg is the daughter of Marsha Duhn. She will be playing her guitar and singing “Boondocks.”

Alexa Naig of Emmetsburg is the daughter of Jeff and Tammy Naig. Her vocal solo is “The Climb.”

Rachael Moore of Emmetsburg is the daughter of Brenda Majerus. Rachel will play a saxophone solo titled “Loch Lomand.”

Jenna Wolfe of Emmetsburg is the daughter of Jesse and Janice Wolfe. She will play a piano solo titled “Bella’s Lullaby.”

Little Miss Shamrock, Little Lassie and Irish Miss will join in all the festivities for the 50th St. Patrick’s Celebration which will be held March 17-21.

Special Performances

Emmetsburg’s own Irish Dancers will be performing at the Junior Miss Pageant. Last year’s Shamrock queens will also perform:

2009 Little Miss Shamrock Riley Shryock of Estherville will perform a jazz dance to the music “One World.” Riley is the daughter of Teresa Gregory and Jason Shryock.

2009 Little Lassie Hannah VanHeuvelen of Emmetsburg will sing the song “Brand New Day.” Hannah is the daughter of Dave and Laura VanHeuvelen.

2009 Irish Miss Kendall Deitering of Emmetsburg will perform a tap dance to the music “Big and Bad.” Kendall is the daughter of Brian and SueAnne Deitering.

2009 Miss Shamrock Justine Wagner of Emmetsburg will play a solo on her violin. Justine is the daughter of Roger and Jean Wagner.
