Residents of Harrison Street lit candles inside paper bags and milk jugs on Sunday evening as part of the Mexican custom of Luminarias. This was the sixteenth year for the event, which is held each year prior to Christmas and symbolizes “Lighting the way for Christ.” Individuals and families (like Randy and Briar Olson, pictured) came out of their homes between 6 and 6:30 p.m. on Sunday to light the candles.
