PACGDC Begins Fourth Grant Cycle

By Staff | Sep 24, 2009

Educational meetings for the fourth grant cycle are being hosted next week by Palo Alto County Gaming Development Corporation. There are several changes being implemented for the coming year.

Grant amounts have been raised from $100,000 to $150,000 with 25-percent matching funds. Projects over $150,000 will require 50-percent matching funds.

A new Mini Grant Application will be available for applicants next year. The mini grant is for a maximum $2,500 project and will require 10-percent matching funds.

A new Revenue Reserve Program has been implemented. With this program, PACGDC will put aside funds for larger projects. This amount could be up to 10-percent of the total receipts, less city shares.

Educational meetings for those who plan to submit grant applications will be held at Palo Alto County Gaming Development Corporation’s (PACGDC) office located at 910 Broadway in Emmetsburg.

Meetings are Wednesday, Sept. 30, and will be held at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. Both meetings are open to the public.

Organizations interested in submitting an application are especially encouraged to attend this year. Those who plan to attend are asked to download a copy of the grant applications to bring with them.

PACGDC will accept grant applications by mail from Oct. 1, 2009 through Dec. 31, 2009. Applications must be postmarked by Dec. 31, 2009 to be eligible for consideration. The grant application form and instructions, along with other helpful information, can be found on the website at www.paloaltogaming.org.

The website is currently being updated with 2009 forms and information and will soon be available. Please contact the office at 712-852-4777 or email at pacgdc@ncn.net with questions.
