Nomination Papers For City Election Are Being Circulated

Regular City Elections are scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 3. Nomination papers are now being circulated by candidates and must be filed no later than Thursday, Sept. 17.

Incumbent mayor and council terms that expire in 2009 are:

Emmetsburg – Council-At-Large, Brian Campbell; Steve Finer, Ward 1; and Pam Smith, Ward 3. Each serves a four-year term.

Ayrshire – Council representatives Pauline Miller and Kurt Moore. Each serves a four-year term.

Cylinder – Mayor Art Mueller, Jr. Council representatives Kurt J. Bonnstetter, Harry Bormann, David Waldschmidt, Kevin Long and Deb Weisbrod. Each serves a two-year term.

Curlew – Mayor Donita Hellickson. Council representatives Barbara Barrett, Stacy Lomax, Wyman Travis, Rick Hurley and Rick Watts. Each serves a two-year term.

Graettinger – Mayor Kevin Hanson. The mayor serves a two-year term. Council representatives Wayne W. Anderson, Ken Smith and Michael L. Flaherty. Council members serve a four-year term.

Mallard – Mayor Carl Heldt. Council representatives James Gehrt, Kyle P. Auten and Mike Hartman. Each serves a four-year term.

Rodman – Mayor Georgia Elbert. Council representatives Ruby Besch, Jack Hough, Rose Fokken, Teresa Bleuer and Anita Michelle Hunter. Each serves a two year term.

Ruthven – Mayor Charles Oppedal. The mayor serves a two-year term. Council members Brian Hawk and Jay Schoning. Council members serve four-year terms.

West Bend – Mayor Robert Klepper. The mayor serves a two-year term. Council representatives Joe H. Eoriatti and Bruce Helleseth. Council members serve four-year terms.
