DES MOINES — At a time when many Iowans are looking for an affordable way to get away this summer, Lt. Governor Patty Judge has the solution — travel in Iowa.

The Lt. Governor and Nancy Landess, Iowa Tourism Office Director, will be visiting at the Grotto of the Redemption in West Bend this Wednesday, July 8.

The public is invited to welcome these special guests at 9 a.m. in the Grotto Courtyard where refreshments (Butterbraid, coffee and Grotto bottled water) will be served. Chairs will be set up for a short welcoming ceremony.

A tour through the Grotto and museum will be given after the welcoming ceremony. In case of rain, the welcome will be moved indoors to the Grotto Cafe.

Lt. Governor Judge is on a 67 city tour, encouraging Iowans to stay in Iowa this summer.

“Iowa has many fun, unique and exciting attractions, events and festivals for you and the entire family,” said Lt. Governor Judge. “With many of the events and attractions in our state costing very little, and often times free, taking an Iowa vacation is a fun and affordable way to have some fun and relax, without breaking the bank.”
