The Culpepper &?Merriweather Circus is coming to Emmetsburg on the Fourth of July. The big top will be set up on the grounds at Iowa Lakes Community College.

Start the day at the free tent raising at 10 a.m., and tour the grounds, too. Watch the animals being fed and learn about endangered species during a short program.

In addition to many other animals at the circus, there are two Siberian Tigers, Solomon and Delilah, both orange with white stripes.

Children are invited to take part in a coloring contest. Download a page to color at www.cmcircus.com, take the completed page to the circus and prizes will be awarded during the show.

Tickets are available in advance at Emmetsburg Food Pride and Fareway Grocery Store. Proceeds from advance ticket sales benefit Emmetsburg Chamber of Commerce. There will be two shows, one at 2 p.m. and another at 4:30 p.m. Tickets are also available at the door.
