Districts To Share Administrator

By Staff | Jun 23, 2009

GRAETTINGER – With the departure of Superintendent Dan Mart, as leader of the Graettinger/Terril Community School Districts on June 30, the sharing of an administrator has been worked out with an adjoining school district. Both the Graettinger and the Terril School Boards have approved a sharing agreement with the Armstrong-Ringsted Community School Districts for the services of AR Superintendent Randy Collins.

Current Superintendent Dan Mart resigned earlier this year to accept a similar position as the Superintendent of Schools for the North Polk Community School District in Alleman and Polk City.

According to Graettinger/Terril School Board President Kyle Norris, the sharing agreement is for the upcoming 2009-2010 school year. Under the terms of the agreement, Collins will spend 60 percent of his time in the G/T District at Graettinger and 40 percent of the time in Terril, roughly two days per week.

Collins will join West Bend area native Jesse Ulrich as a newcomer to the district for the upcoming school year. Ulrich was hiried earlier this year to assume the duties of Middle School Principal for the Terril attendance center.

The sharing agreement will help the district prepare in its completion of the reorganization process that was appoved in a publie vote late last year. The reorganized Graettinger/Terril Community Schools will officially begin operations on July 1, 2010.
