Being The Best Is No Small Accomplishment

When a person makes their living selling products and services, they depend upon a good, quality product and service after the sale to be the clinchers in their sales world. For a Graettinger man, having those tools at his disposal has led to some very high honors.

Andy Matheason, sales rep for Wallace Water Conditioning in Emmetsburg, made the best use of his training and his product during the past year to earn the honor of Top Salesman for Culligan Water Conditioning in the company’s District Nine. The district encompasses all of Iowa and Missouri.

To earn the top honor, sales are measured in points, and Matheason’s efforts through Wallace Water Conditioning through the sales of water conditioning products, along with rental of equipment, earned the 13-year veteran the recognition.

“This award isn’t just about me,” Matheason noted during the presentation of the award late last week. “This award is possible because of all the hard work by everybody here, the guys who deliver the products and do the service work, the people in the office, it’s all a team effort and I’m very proud to share these honors with our entire team. I couldn’t have earned this award without their support.”

Scott Hobbs Central Region Sales Manager for Culligan Water Conditioning presented Matheason with his award on Thursday. “There are a total of 63 Culligan dealers in District Nine, and that includes some major cities in Iowa, such as Des Moines, Cedar Rapids, Davenport and even St. Louis, Mo. To win this award shows a great effort on Andy’s part, as well as the entire staff of Wallace Water Conditioning.”
