On A Cold Winter’s Night

By Staff | Dec 24, 2008

Luminaria once again lined Harrison Street on Sunday night in the annual “Lighting the Way for Christ”. Residents along Harrison Street have embraced the custom of displaying luminaria along their street on the Sunday night before Christmas. The adoption of the Mexican custom of lighting luminaria began in 1993 by local residents Brian and Janis Campbell, and has continued over the years to provide a peaceful and simple holiday treat for young and old alike. -- Dan Voigt photo
