Emmetsburg Retail Association Hosts Home For The Holidays

By Staff | Dec 2, 2008

HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS – Nothing is more festive than singing carols during a horse-drawn wagon ride! Children and their families were treated to the rides by local members of the Pony Express as part of the Home for the Holidays event held last Friday evening in Emmetsburg. The Holiday Headquarters was open across from Courthouse Square and was home to the Algona Cornbelt Chorus Carolers, the Festival of Trees, a visit by Santa Claus, and more. Additional photos from Friday can be found on pages 6 and 7 of today’s “Reporter.” – Lori Hall photo

SANTA CLAUS came to Emmetsburg for “Home for the Holidays” weekend. He visited with boys and girls at Holiday Headquarters Friday night and Saturday morning he joined a room full of children for Breakfast With Santa at the Pizza Ranch. Ebonei-Rhythm, Essense-Rain, Taytum Sargent, Mackenzie Sargent and Dallas Clark (pictured left to right) surrounded Santa and told him all the things they would like for Christmas this year. More photos from Breakfast With Santa are on pages 13B and 14B of The Reporter. --Jane Whitmore photo
