Ruthven Community Care Center Under New Management
RUTHVEN — The Ruthven Community Care Center has come under management of Hawkeye Care Centers of West Des Moines.
Dee Pyle, the Administrator for the past 20 years at the Ruthven Community Care Center, has submitted her resignation effective Dec. 6. The board at the facility has accepted her resignation with regret.
In her retirement, Dee stated she is looking forward to spending time with her children, grandchildren, and working on some remodeling projects.
Pyle also said, “I would like to thank the community for their support, as well as the great residents, families, board and staff. Without the cooperation of all of them, we would not have been able to develop the excellent facilities we have in Ruthven. I truly treasure each and every resident and they will always have a special place in my heart.”
The Ruthven Community Care Center is a 48-bed licensed skilled nursing facility as well as an 18-unit assisted living complex and a 14-unit low income apartment complex.
The board of Ruthven Community Care Center has hired Hawkeye Care Centers of West Des Moines to manage the complex. Hawkeye Care Centers currently owns and manages nursing facilities in Sioux Rapids, Milford, Spirit Lake, Bancroft, Cresco, Dubuque and West Des Moines.
According to Doug Johnson, Vice President of Operations for Hawkeye, “We will begin immediately to secure a new administrator for Ruthven so that the excellent reputation they enjoy may continue.”
