No Changes To Election Outcomes Following Official Canvas Of Votes
The official canvas of votes from last Tuesday’s General Elections did not make any changes in the outcome of elections in Palo Alto County. Palo Alto County Supervisors conducted the canvas of the votes during their weekly meeting, held on Monday, Nov. 10.
With the lone contested election in the county coming in Supervisor District III, the canvass of votes showed a final total of 426 votes for Democratic candidate Frank Kliegl, and 445 votes for Independent incumbent candidate Leo Goeders, a 19 vote margin.
No other major changes were noted in the county elections, but Clint Young and Joel Horsley were both declared winners of two vacant seats on the Soil and Water Conservation District Board. Both were write-in winners, joining the lone announced candidate, Ray Brown, on the board.
