SOMEONE CAME KNOCKING - Mary Blake heard a “thunk” on her roof Saturday morning. A short time later, there was another “thunk.” When Mary went outside to check, there was a fish on the roof - a carp! A bird must have dropped the fish when it flew over the Blake’s house. The fish landed on the main roof, then fell to the porch roof. Mary called her sister, Margaret, and her story met with disbelief. Later, Duane and Margaret Twait came to check it out and get the fish off the roof. But first, Mary got a photo of the fish. Could it have been an eagle? Or a merganser or pelican? It had to have been a large bird to be carrying a 10-12 inch carp.
