Rodman Fire Dept. Benefit This Saturday

By Staff | Jun 24, 2008

RODMAN – Get ready for some summer-time fun during “Hillbilly Days” in downtown Rodman.

The annual Rodman Fire Department fundraiser is planned for this Saturday, June 28.

Hillbilly Days promises something for everyone–from games and food to a live auction. All activities will be held in Rodman at or near the Rodman Fire Hall.

An always-popular event–the horseshoe pitching contest–begins at 1:30 p.m. The dunk tank opens for business at 2 p.m., and the kids’ carnival will offer fun for the younger set from 3 to 4 p.m.

Members of the Rodman Fire Department will give a “Jaws of Life” vehicle extrication demonstration with members of the Palo Alto County Gaming Development Corporation starting at 4 p.m.

A smoked pork loin meal with all the fixings, prepared by the West Bend Knights of Columbus, will be served from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., and the auction will follow at 6:45 p.m. Raffle tickets will be available, too.
