With the primary elections coming up next Tuesday, June 3, Palo Alto County voters are being reminded of the locations for voting in the primary election. Voters may still request absentee ballots through 5 p.m. this Friday, May 30, from the Palo Alto County Auditor’s Office. Voters may still vote in person at the Palo Alto County Auditor’s Office in the courthouse from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 31, and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, June 2.
Polls for the primary election will be open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, June 3, in all of the precinct and polling places established by Palo Alto County Commissioner of Elections Gary Leonard.
Residents of Booth, Emmetsburg, Great Oak, Nevada and Silver Lake Townships will cast their ballots at the Palo Alto County Election Center, 1302 South Broadway, in Emmetsburg. All residents living in Ellington and Rush Lake Townships will cast their primary ballots in the Mallard Community Center in Mallard.
Voters living in the City of Emmetsburg Ward I and Freedom Township Northwest will vote at the Election Center, along with residents of Emmetsburg Ward II, Emmetsburg Ward III and Emmetsburg Township Southeast and Emmetsburg Ward IV.
Residents of Fairfield North and Independence Townships, along with Vernon and Freedom Townships will also cast their ballots at the Palo Alto County Election Center in Emmetsburg. All voters who reside in Fairfield Southeast, Fern Valley and West Bend Townships will go to West Bend where they will vote at the polling place in the West Bend Public Library.
The Graettinger Public Library will be the polling place for voters living in Walnut Township and the Lost Island North precinct, while voters living in Lost Island Southwest and Highland Townships will cast their primary ballots at the Ruthven Social Center.
