A Sweet Valentine Treat Benefits
Homemade chocolates – caramels – fudge – and more – all wrapped up and ready for giving.
Palo Alto County Hospital Auxiliary is sponsoring its Valentine’s Day Homemade Candy sale sponsored. This annual event is Wedneday, Feb. 13, from 12 noon until 4:30 pm and Thursday, Feb. 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 pm (or until all the candy is sold) in the lobby of Palo Alto County Hospital.
“We always get so many wonderful types of candy each year,” commented Auxiliary President Ann Stillman. “And whether you want a small package of candy for a teacher or friend, or a large package for a family or a department at work, all items are gift wrapped and ready for holiday gift giving.”
Auxiliary members are asked to donate homemade candy and bring it to the Hospital’s Health Education Room on Wednesday morning, Feb. 13. There the candy is wrapped, weighed and priced to sell.Â
Proceeds from the candy sale support the hospital through the works of the Auxiliary. This fall, the Auxiliary donated $20,000 to sponsor three rooms in the construction project. In January 2008, they purchased a new wheelchair for the hospital.
“Everyone is encouraged to shop early as the second day of the sale usually sells out before 2 p.m.,” commented President Stillman. “And what a great way to support the Hospital Auxiliary while purchasing homemade candy for someone special on Valentine’s Day.”
