West Bend-Mallard High School One Of The Best

WEST BEND – West Bend-Mallard High School was recently notified that it was named a medal winner school in the first annual nationwide search for the best high schools in the United States.

” This is a wonderful award to receive and it reflects on the quality and dedication put forth by the WB-M students, faculty, and staff,” said Samuel Swenson, princpal at West Bend-Mallard High School.

The news magazine “U. S. News and World Report,” in collaboration with School Evaluation Services, a K-12 education and data research and analysis firm that provides data on schools, analyzed data from more than 18,000 public high schools. The research was conducted to find the very best high schools across the United States.

The high schools that were selected were placed into gold, silver, and bronze medal categories. West Bend-Mallard High School was a bronze medal winner.

Thirty-six Iowa schools were selected as medal winners this year. Ames High School and JFK High School won silver medals and the other 34 were bronze medal winners.
