By Staff | Jun 20, 2018
SURVIVOR LAP -- Jon Williams (left) and his daughter, Reba (right) carried the banner for the Survivor Lap at Soper Park. Caregivers joined the group for another lap around the park. A glowing tribute ended the day as the track was lined with luminaries.
THE NATIONAL ANTHEM was sung by cancer survivor Teresa Alesch of Emmetsburg. Members of VFW Post #2295 advanced the colors to begin 2018 Relay for Life. Throughout the evening, teams had games to play, food to eat, and items offered for raffles, in addition to silent auction items. The best spot of the day was the dunk tank, offering respite from the heat.
