2018 Senior Spotlight

By Staff | Apr 26, 2018

Parents/Family: I am the youngest child of Daniel and Michelle Jackson. My older brother is Nicholas Jackson.

Hobbies/ Activities: I enjoy going out to my grandparents and riding four-wheelers and just being with family. I also enjoy doing any little craft projects and sing my heart out.

Being a Senior Means: Being a senior to me means that every team we play, every concert we perform, and every time walk down the hallways are no step closer to being my last time.

Describe a High School event that should be placed in the video yearbook. The school event that I’m going to miss the most and hope people keep doing is after away games we made a tunnel with our cars and had our flashers going to welcome the boys back to town. It showed our schools camaraderie and let our team know that we were proud of all their hard work.

What would be one memory from high school that you would include in a time capsule? A memory from high school that I would include in a time capsule would be a freshman year basketball practice. I got sandwiched between two of my teammates and had both my bottom and top lips bleeding, with a bloody nose at the same time.

What is one thing you learned from a teacher that you will never forget?

One thing I learned from a teacher was that things might not go the way you wanted it to go, but it will always turn out for the best.

Greatest Accomplishment: My greatest accomplishment was staying strong and looking forward to things in coming years when I had to sit out of basketball my junior year because I broke my wrist.

Advice to Underclass: No matter how hard the path is the journey is worth all the memories.

Future Plans: I plan on attending Iowa Lakes Community College my first two years and the transferring to a university to finish out college. I am not sure what I want to go into at the moment but I’m sure I will figure it out sooner or later.
