2018 Senior Spotlight

Parents/Family: Parents Petra and Magnus Frenne, brothers Ludwig and Adam. Host mom Laure Miller. Exchange student sister Alex Johnsen.

Hobbies/ Activities: Cross Country, Dance, Singing, Speech, Art,

Being a Senior Means: Having more privileges but more importantly more responsibilities.

Describe a High School event that should be placed in the video yearbook. A pep rally that really shows our school spirit!

What would be one memory from high school that you would include in a time capsule? My first football game. It was amazing to see it for the first time.

What is one thing you learned from a teacher that you will never forget?

Mr. Dooley taught me that life is about choices and how they affect you.

Greatest Accomplishment: Just being in a foreign country learning about another culture has been an incredible experience and accomplishment.

Advice to Underclass:

If you think about doing something more than ten times, do it.

Future Plans: I want to travel a lot, and then become a doctor or a veterinarian.

Being a Senior Means: Showing younger kids and students how to be a great senior and being a great big brother

What would be one memory from high school that you would include in a time capsule? Senior football night

What is one thing you learned from a teacher that you will never forget? Hard work still works

Greatest Accomplishment: 3 year starter on varsity for football and baseball

Advice to Underclass: Don’t take any moment for granted because soon enough it’ll be over

Future Plans: I plan on pursuing the career of engineering and playing football

Parents/Family: My parents are Mike and Susan Embrock and my siblings are Amber and Aaron Embrock

Hobbies/ Activities: I like to play football, basketball, and golf. I also enjoy playing video games.

Being a Senior Means: I am getting ready to go into the real world, whether it be going to college or getting a job right out of high school. It means that I’m setting up my success for the future. It means I’m a leader and I need to set an example for younger students.

Describe a High School event that should be placed in the video yearbook. When Okoboji put us as their homecoming because they thought we would be easy to play against and we ended up winning by a big margin.

What would be one memory from high school that you would include in a time capsule? When I first got to Emmetsburg my freshman year and I went to lift with the football team and meet people for the first time. They helped me feel welcome in Emmetsburg.

What is one thing you learned from a teacher that you will never forget?

I learned the carpal bones order: Scaphoid, Lunate, Triquetrum, Pisiform, Trapezium, Trapezoid, Capitate, Hamate.

Greatest Accomplishment: Making it into the National Honor Society.

Advice to Underclass: Enjoy your time in high school and get your work done. Don’t take anything for granted. You’re only in high school for 4 years so don’t waste them. Learn how to prioritize.

Future Plans: I am attending the University of Iowa to get a BA in human physiology. I plan on becoming a physical therapist

Parents/Family: My parents are David and Kelly Wickman. My siblings are Brian, Allysha, and Kelly Wickman.

Hobbies/ Activities:Video Gaming, Voice acting, and break dancing are my main hobbies.

Being a Senior Means: Being responsible and getting everything done on time.

Describe a High School event that should be placed in the video yearbook. Our large group speech performances

What would be one memory from high school that you would include in a time capsule? My first year in large group speech

What is one thing you learned from a teacher that you will never forget? With enough practice you can beat any challenge.

Greatest Accomplishment: I made it to all state in large group speech freshmen year. I also made it into the top three in three separate gaming tournaments.

Advice to Underclass: Don’t get your open campus taken away otherwise it will be a long junior and senior year.

Future Plans: I plan on getting my mixology degree and try to join RoosterTeeth.

What would be one memory from high school that you would include in a time capsule? Winning homecoming homeroom olympics all 4 years

What is one thing you learned from a teacher that you will never forget? Never settle for being mediocre

Greatest Accomplishment: Maintaining better grades this year

Advice to Underclass: Always do your homework, it’ll get you further in life

Future Plans: To attend iowa lakes and go into the early childhood development program

Being a Senior Means: Being a senior means graduation is coming soon!

Describe a High School event that should be placed in the video yearbook: The winter formal and pep rallies

What would be one memory from high school that you would include in a time capsule? The last day of school, having hamburgers, hot dogs and chips and the enjoyment of being with my classmates.

What is one thing you learned from a teacher that you will never forget? Hard work pays off.

Greatest Accomplishment: Working hard to get better grades!

Advice to Underclass: Don’t stress about things you can’t change. Everyone makes mistakes. Continue to move forward and know that when everything is going wrong, things will get better. You can do it!

Future Plans: My future plan is to go to Iowa Lakes for two years.
