Area Students Honored By Twin Lakes

FORT?DODGE – Several area students were honored recently for their entries in the 2018 Twin Lakes Conference Art Show. The show was held at Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge in late March.

Students from Emmetsburg and West Bend-Mallard/Gilmore City-Bradgate earned special honors during the show.

From Emmetsburg, Taylor Steinkamp received an award for her non-graphite drawing titled “Little Chick.”

In the area of Photography and Digital Media, Gretchen Hofstad was honored for her photo titled “Private Property”

Aliza Woodford was accorded an Honorable Mention honor for her entry, “My Escape From Reality.”

From West Bend-Mallard/Gilmore City-Bradgate, Emma Thatcher was honored for her Graphite drawing titled “Joyful Commitment.”

Kara Fehr was honored for her Pastels entry titled “Butterball.”

In the medium of two-dimensional media and Printmaking, Abigail Messner was honored for her entry titled “the Bite” and Callie Clark was honored for her entry “Autumn Love.”

In Sculptures and Three-Dimensional Media, Jessica Morey and Mara Clark were honored for their entry, “The Attack,”?and the duo were also honored with a Students’ Choice Award for their entry.

Emma Thatcher also received a Students’ Choice Award for her Graphite drawing entry, “Joyful Commitment.”
