An Angel Named “Joy”

By Staff | Dec 20, 2016

The First Grade Class at the Emmetsburg Catholic School has a guest in their classroom during the month of December. An angel named Joy leaves the class two missions to fulfill each day – spreading cheer and good deeds throughout the month. Some of the missions were to give care packages to the local police and fire department, share cookies with the teachers, make cards for nursing home residents, or even just share smiles and hugs. Mary Lee Orr, Clinic Manager at Family Practice Clinic, visited the classroom to accept a donation of coloring pages and crayons for children visiting the medical clinic.
