Outdoor Women’s Workshop Sept. 24

By Staff | Sep 15, 2016

Are there ladies from the area who are looking for something fun to do this fall?

The Emmet, Kossuth and Palo Alto County Conservation Boards are sponsoring their annual event that will get women outside for some “back to nature” fun.

There are still a few spaces left in the Outdoor Women’s Workshop scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 24, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Lost Island Nature Center north of Ruthven.

Women are invited to try out canoeing and kayaking, paddle boarding, geocaching, and archery with the naturalists. Learn how to cook in a Dutch oven. Artist Danielle Clouse will show everyone how to paint nature designs on a project to take home.

Register now by calling 712-837-4866. There is a limit of 25 people and women must be 18 or older to attend. Bring a long a friend, or your mother/daughter. The cost includes food and materials. Registration deadline is this Friday, Sept. 16.
