Good Friday Ecumenical Service

Ecumenical Good Friday service will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church, at the corner of Main and Lake Streets in Emmetsburg, hosted by the Palo Alto County Ministerial Association.

Area pastors and lay people will be paticipating in the service that begins at 12:10 p.m. “The Way of the Cross” will take parishioners through the eight stations of the cross.

Patricipating in the service are Paster Peter Morlock, Bethany?Lutheran Church, Emmetsburg; Pastor Roberta Biddle, Our Savior Lutheran Church, Emmetsburg; Pastor Judy DePue, United Methodist Church, Fenton; Pastor Kris Hackbart, United Methodist Church, Ruthnven; Pastor Tom Summerfield, Zion Lutheran Church, Ruthven; and Father Clem Currans, RAE Parish of Light Cluster, Ruthen, Ayrshire and Emmetsburg. Also participating are Dave Nixon from Trinity Episcopal Church, Emmetsburg; and Chaplain Tami Groth with St. Croix Hospice.

Special music will be provided by Laurie Sumerfield of Ruthven, and Noah Wright, son of Pastor Kris Hackbart and Pastor Peter Morlock. Janis Campbell is the organist.

The collection will go to the Palo Alto County Ministerial Association fund.

The public is invited to attend the Good Friday service.
