2016 Troop Activities
Troop 46 has a busy schedule already planned for 2016. So far this year they have had an overnight campout at the cabin at Silver Sioux Recreation area where they did sledding and board games. They’ve gone to Mount Kato twice and two scouts have learned to ski.
There are activities already on the calendar which include camping, kayaking, hiking, biking, and more.
The troop thanks their sponsoring organization, the Kiwanis of Emmetsburg. They provide support and helping with the pancake breakfast, purchasing Scout books, and sponsoring service opportunities like “Then Feed Just One”.
A special Thank You to the Smith Foundation for awarding grants over the past few years to help the troop purchase a canoe/kayak trailer, and most recently kayaks and safety gear, as well as needed camping equipment to support our outdoor programs. These enhancements to the scouting program are greatly appreciated.
