By Staff | Jan 21, 2016

The Palo Alto County Extension Office will once again sponsor two Babysitting Clinics for all area youth aged 10 and above.

The first program is set for Saturday, Feb. 6, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Helgen Community Room in the basement of the Palo Alto County Extension Office in Emmetsburg. The second program will be held on Saturday, Feb. 20, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Helgen Community Room in the basement of the Extension Office.

The Babysitting Clinics provide youth with basic instructions in first aid and techniques needed to provide care for siblings or other children. The program has been very popular and well-attended in past sessions.

There is a registration fee for those attending to cover the costs of materials and a handbook for participants. Lunch and snacks for the participants in th program will be provided.

Youth will only need to attend one of the two training sessions, but pre-registration for the sessions is necessary. To pre-register, youth can contact the Palo Alto County Extension Office at 712-852-2865 or for more information.
