Holiday Vocal Pops Concert This Saturday

The Emmetsburg High School Vocal Music Department will host its first Holiday Vocal Pops Concert this Saturday, Dec. 12, at 7:30 p.m. in the EHS?Auditorium.

The concert will feature performances from the EHS?Varsity Show Choir, “High Voltage”, as well as the JV?Show Choir, “Black and Gold”, as they will perform their competition shows for the upcoming show choir season. The two groups will begin their competitive seasons in January with appearances in West Branc, Dallas Center-Grimes and Iowa Lakes Community College in Estherville.

In additionl several solos and small ensemble groups will perform sounds of the season during the program, along with the EHS?Vocal Jazz Experiment and a group of Senior Vocal members in a special number.

“We’re splitting the traditional holiday concert into two different programs this year,”?noted EHS?Vocal Director Luke Miller. “Our traditional Holiday Concert with the Concert Choir, Mixed Chorus and the Concert Band will be on Monday, Dec 21, at 7:30 p.m. This Saturday will be a fun evening of holiday favorites and a look at our show choirs for the coming year. We encourage everyone to attend our Holiday Vocal Pops Concert this Saturday night.”
