Emmetsburg Pizza Ranch Employee Receives College Scholarship
Michael Woodruff, local employee of Pizza Ranch in Emmetsburg, was recently awarded a $2,000 college scholarship by Pizza Ranch and Coca-Cola to support their pursuit of continued education through its Pizza Ranch Coca-Cola Scholarships program.
Woodruff was nominated by the restaurant’s General Manager, Amy Martini, and was one of ten employees system-wide to receive the prize grant this year.
“Michael is an outstanding employee and embodies what Pizza Ranch is all about,” said Amy Martini General Manager of Pizza Ranch in Emmetsburg.
“Although we are in the food business, to us it’s much more. On a daily basis we hold ourselves accountable to our guests and the community. Our food alone may not change the world, but by positively impacting the lives of our guests, employees like Michael are making our community a better place,” she added.
Each year, the Pizza Ranch Coca-Cola Scholarships program awards multiple $2,000 scholarships its employees who are planning on attending a post-secondary educational institution.
To apply, qualifying candidates are asked to submit a written essay that details how their actions exemplify the Pizza Ranch mission, “To give every guest a legendary experience.” As a supplement, the general manager of the restaurant is asked to submit a letter of recommendation for their employee.
To date, Pizza Ranch Corporate has given out over $60,000 in grants to its employees through the Pizza Ranch Coca-Cola Scholarships program.
