Conservation Reserve Program
The USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA) has begun working on re-enrolling CRP contracts that will expire on September 30, 2015. Field visits have been made and letters have been sent if the current stand is questionable. If trees exist, you will need to remove them after the primary nesting season ends on August 1.
The next step in this process will be to provide our office with proof of ownership, a copy of the recorded deed to the acres you intend to re-enroll into the program. That is available at the court house in the county where the land is physically located. We will then run the CRP contract and Conservation Plan of Operation. All owners will be on the contract and you can decide how the payment shares will be assigned.
All paperwork must be completed prior to contract expiration to meet the CRP eligibility regulations.
