Alicia and Cole Cherland

Alicia Bleckwenn and Cole Cherland exchanged vows on Saturday, July 30, 2011 at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, rural Cylinder, with Pastor David Bergquist officiating.

Alicia is the daughter of David and Glenda Bleckwenn of Cylinder. Cole is the son of Steve and Darlene Cherland from Lone Rock.

The bride was escorted to the altar by her father. Her matron-of-honor was her sister, Latasha Bruhn of Cylinder. Bridesmaids were Amanda Boeckholt, Waukee; Tonya Brooks, Waterloo; and Stephanie Fox, Algona. Personal attendants were Meredith Meyers and Stacy Besch, both of Algona.

Cody Bernhard of Adair served as Cole’s best man. Groomsmen were Casey Hurlburt, Ames; Andrew Bormannn, Bancroft; and Nathan Nedved, Garner.

Lane and Ally Bruhn, nephew and niece of bride, and Kolton Cherland, nephew of groom, were ring bearers and flower girl.

Ushers were Keith and Kevin Cherland, brothers of groom; Eric Bruhn, the bride’s brother-in-law; and Cody Ricklefs, the bride’s cousin.

Honored guests were Alice Ricklefs and Betty Bleckwenn, grandmothers of the bride.

A reception, hosted by Dave and Darcy Tessman and Darrell and Cindy Uthof, followed the ceremony at the VFW in Emmetsburg.
