SHEFFIELD - The Titans of Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire (GTRA) would fight hard against the West Fork Warhawks but come up short in a tough 22-14 road loss on Friday night.

The Titan defense would hold steady against the Warhawk running game, but the offense would struggle to move the ball, putting up a total of 92 yards during the contest.

Freshman quarterback Max Hough completed just three passes for 20 yards on the night and threw one interception. Hough would also run for 12 yards.

Senior Treyton Cacek scored a touchdown on a 93 yard fumble recovery for the Titans. Offensively, Cacek would rush for 29 yards and gain three yards on a quick pass from Hough.

Senior Jace Naig would rush for 31 yards against the Warhawks, scoring on a three yard touchdown sprint into the end zone and a successful two-point conversion attempt. Naig would also catch two Hough passes for 17 yards on the night.

The Titan defense would be led by Naig, Cacek, junior Brock Grimm, and senior Cade Steelman, who together combined for 33 tackles, five of which forced lost yardage on West Fork.

The loss brings the Titans to 1-1 in Class A District play and 1-5 overall on the season.

The Titans will next host Belmond-Klemme for Parent's Night on Friday, Oct. 11.
