Health Resources and Services Administration Awards Palo Alto County Health System MAT Grant to Fight Opioid Addiction

HRSA has awarded $400 million to combat opioid crisis Palo Alto County Health System is one of 12 in the nation to receive MAT Grant totaling $725,000.00 over the next tree years.

The Health Resources and Services Administration awarded 12 organizations across the nation $725,000 each to establish or expand medication-assisted treatment in eligible rural hospitals, clinics and tribal setting. One of the 12 grants was awarded to Palo Alto County Health System in Emmetsburg, Iowa. The $725,000 grant will be used to combat the influence and support recovery of individuals addicted to Opioids and other addictive substances in Northwestern Iowa counties.
