Homer G. Rehm

Homer George Rehm, son of Leo G. and Naomi E. (Johnson) Rehm, was born Aug. 3, 1927, at their farm home near Ayrshire. He received his education at Ayrshire Consolidated School. In the early 40s Homer's family moved to a farm near Ruthven.

On Nov. 9, 1952 Homer was united in marriage Coleen Mohr in Jackson, MN. To this union two children were born. Homer farmed in the area for 42 years before retiring.

Homer was a member of the United Methodist Church in Ruthven. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, especially jack rabbit, deer and fox. He liked to fish in Alexandria, MN and in area lakes. Homer also enjoyed visiting with his friends and family.

Homer passed away Monday, Jan. 8, 2018 at McKenna Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD, at the age of 90. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Ilo Gappa and Dorothy Rouse.

He is survived by his wife, Coleen of Ruthven; a son, Max Rehm and his wife, Deb of Garner, and a daughter, Roxanne Olberding and her husband, Rich of Alexandria, MN; four grandchildren, Matt, Chad, Marci and Paige; seven great grandchildren; as well as other relatives and friends.
