A visitation for Dale Noll will be on Thursday, Dec. 7 at 1 p.m. at the Martin-Mattice Funeral home in Emmetsburg.

The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Reverend Dave VanHueleven will officiate.

Inurnment will be in Riverside Cemetery in West Bend. Dale will be buried with military rites from V.F.W. Post #2295 of Emmetsburg.

Dale Dean Noll, son of Ivan and Mabel (Weaver) Noll, was born Oct. 25, 1932 in Emmetsburg. He received his education in the Emmetsburg school system.

Dale enlisted in the United States Army on Aug. 3, 1954 and served in Korea until Oct. 9, 1955, when he was honorably discharged. Dale received the National Defense Service Medal.

Dale owned and operated the Sinclair Station in Emmetsburg, later moving to Rockford, IL where he had a wheel and tire shop as well as a used furniture store. Dale enjoyed being an entrepreneur.

NASCAR was one of Dale's passions and he loved to talk about cars and engines with anyone. Dale returned to Emmetsburg twelve years ago to be near his family.

Dale died Saturday, Dec. 2, 2017 at Lakeside Lutheran Home in Emmetsburg at the age of 85. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son; and a sister, Darlene Kraemer.

He is survived by two daughters; sisters, Rosalind Clemitson of Emmetsburg, Irene Schall of Spencer, and Doris Nordstrom of Sioux City; a brother, Harold Noll of Seattle, WA; nieces and nephews; as well as many other relatives and friends.
