Titans Claim Corn Bowl Trophy Over Wolverines

GRAETTINGER - The gridiron season ended for both Graettinger-Terril/Ruth -ven-Ayrshire and West Bend -Mallard/Gilmore City-Bradgate on Friday night. In the Second Annual Corn Bowl, the Titans of GT/RA tallied a 48-0 win over the Wolverines of WBM.GCB to claim the trophy, as both teams saw their seasons come to a close.

The Corn Bowl trophy was sponsored once again by the Palo Alto County Corn Growers.

The Titans would dominate the contest, which also paid tribute to the memory of Noah Flaherty, who would have been a senior on this year's Titan team.

GT/RA would get four touchdowns from Kolton Roth in the contest, as he ran for two scores and caught six passes to score a pair of touchdowns. Nate Larson added a pair of rushing touchdowns to the effort, while Tommy Geelan scored a two-point conversion and Jacob Conlon tallied a pair of two-point conversions. Chris Conlon added three catches to score a touchdown in the effort.

The Titans got 93 yards from Kolton Roth off 12 rushes and 127 receiving yards off six catches in the game, while Jacob Conlon gained 79 yards off 10 rushes and a 13 yard reception, while completing 17 of 21 passes for 259 yards.

Nate Larson added four carries for 26 yards and four catches for 27 yards, as well as completing one pass for 13 yards.

Tommy Geelan added four receptions for 55 yards and Chris Conlon made three catchers for 53 yards in the contest.

GT/RA's defense was led by the 10 tackles of Chris Conlon, while Nate Larson had nine and a half tackles and recovered a fumble while Jacob Conlon added eight and a half stops.

Kolton Roth intercepted a pass and made three and a half tackles.

West Bend-Mallard/Gil- more City-Bradgate would get 83 yards off 11 rushes from Thad Fogarty, while Dexter Knobloch made nine carries for 60 yards. Trinton Schmidt added four rushes for 27 yards and Hunter Jergens added 15 yards from one carry. Coleman Grimm had a carry for 13 yards and Cole Hoskins ran five times for nine yards.

Cole Hoskins completed eight of 18 passes for 106 yards with one interception. Danie Riesenberg caught four passes for 49 yards, while Hunter Jergens had a catch for 31 yards, while Thad Fogarty added a catch for 21 yards. Trinton Schmidt had a three yard catch Dexter Knobloch had a two yard reception.

Trinton Schmidt would make 10 and a half tackles, while Hunter Jergens added seven tackles and Mason Studer made six and a half stops in the effort for the Wolverines.
