Titans Roll Over Kingsley-Pierson

RUTHVEN - The Titans of Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven- Ayrshire suffered no ill effects after a week off as they manhandled Kingsley-Pierson by a 50-28 tally Friday night in Eight-Man District One play. The win improves the Titans to a 1-1 mark in district play and 3-1 overall on the season.

Friday's contest in Ruthven quickly turned into a rout for the Titans as they would dominate the game offensively. Quarterback Jacob Conlon utilized the passing game well, completing nine of his 10 pass attempts in the contest to rack up 186 yards and account for three touchdowns by air.

Chris Conlon would make four catches for a total of 70 yards with an 18-yard touchdown catch to his credit. Jace Naig added a pair of receptions for 60 yards on the night, including a 41-yard catch for a Titan touchdown. Nate Larson made two catches for a total of 21 yards with one catch for a 17-yard touchdown and Tommy Geelan added one 35-yard reception to the effort.

The Titans were more than effective in the rushing game as well, as they would rack up 289 yards of rushing offense, led by the eight rushes of Jacob Conlon, as the quarterback picked up 134 yards on the ground and scored a touchdown. Kolton Roth added 22 carries for 107 yards on the night and scored two touchdowns.

Treyton Cacek had six rushes for 32 yards, while Nate Larson added two carries for 11 yards and Chris Conlon had two carries to gain five yards.

On the defensive side, Kolton Roth would lead the Titans with 12 tackles and a quarterback sack, while Lucas Hoffman added 10 and a half tackles and two quarterback sacks. Jacob Conlon made 10 tackles and Shay Royster added eight stops to the effort and Nate Larson added a quarterback sack and seven tackles.

The Titans will take to the road this Friday evening as they face a tough assignment at Remsen against the Hawks of Remsen St. Mary's in Eight-Man Division One action.
