September 20, 2017
by Dan Voigt , Emmetsburg News

REMSEN?-- A long road trip ended up in a 44-6 disappointment for the Wolverines of West Bend-Mallard/Gilmore City-Bradgate. The loss on Friday night drops the Wolverines to 1-1 in district play and 2-2 overall on the season.

The Wolverines will regroup this week as they celebrate their Homecoming by hosting the Mavericks of Clay Central-Everly on Friday night in the annual Homecoming contest.

Friday night, the Wolverines ran afoul of a potent Remsen St. Mary's offensive unit, which took control of the contest early. WBM/GCB would only manage one touchdown in the contest from Dexter Knobloch, as the conversion try would come up short.
