Morey Receives Governor's Volunteer Award

Lori Morey, Volunteer Coordinator at Palo Alto County Health System (PACHS), accepted a Governor's Volunteer Award for PACHS' outstanding commitment and service from Governor Kim Reynolds and Lt. Governor Adam Gregg during a special recognition ceremony held in August in Storm Lake, Iowa. PACHS was nominated for the award by Julie Rarick at the Senior Health Insurance Information Program (SHIIP) The award was for providing resources and support for the SHIIP program over the last 10 years.

More than 600 volunteer awards were presented this year during ceremonies held at several locations around the state. It is estimated that more than 31,000 hours of service, with an economic impact of more than $727,000 were served by this year's honorees during the past 12 months.
