The Homecoming Season Gets Underway

West Bend-Mallard/Gilmore City-Bradgate To Celebrate Homecoming

WEST BEND - The Homecoming season is underway in the area. Activities are beginning for students in the West Bend-Mallard/ Gilmore City-Bradgate Schools. Homecoming 2017 started on Monday with Pajama Day for WBM/GCB students. Tuesday, Sept 19 is Disney Day, with students dressing as their favorite Disney character during the school day.

Wednesday, Sept. 20 is Dress to Impress Day and Thursday, Sept 21, is Class Color Day.

The festivities ramp up on Friday, Sept. 22 on Wolverine Spirit Day with the theme of the Day, "Pullin' for a Victory."

Friday is filled with events for both students and the community. The annual Jersey fundraising auction will take place in the high school gym starting at 12:30 p.m. and will be followed by the Class skits and then the actual Coronation of the 2017 Homecoming King and Queen.

The candidates for Homecoming queen are Jessica Morey, the daughter of Brian and Melissa Morey; Trissa Schmidt, the daughter of Wendell and Karen Schmidt; Ashyln Banwart, the daughter of Mar and Jami Banwart and Mara Clark, the daughter of McKee and Mollie Clark.

Candidates for the Homecoming King Noah Fehr, the son of Cory and Jennifer Fehr; Daniel Riesenberg, the son of Chuck and Lisa Riesenberg; Thad Fogarty, the son of Tim and Dixie Fogarty and Mason Studer, the son of John and Heather Studer.

Setup and lineup for the Homecoming Parade will follow the coronation outside the school from 2 to 2:20 p.m. ad the Homecoming Parade will proceed down Broadway in Downtown West Bend at 2:20 p.m. A community Pep Rally is set for 2:50 p.m. in the high school gym.

The Wolverines' Homecoming week's activities will wrap up on Friday evening when the Wolverines play host to the Mavericks of Clay Central-Everly in a 7 p.m. kickoff at West Bend.
