Family Practice Clinics Pass Inspection "Deficiency Free"

September 14, 2017
Emmetsburg News

A health inspection of Rural Health Clinics is required every three to five years by the federal government. Family Practice Clinics in Emmetsburg, demonstrated their commitment to their patients by being in 100 percent compliance and receiving a no-deficiencies rating during their Rural Health Inspection this month.

In the summary from the inspection it was stated "there were no areas of concern and the clinics were in substantial compliance of the conditions of participation."

To earn the no deficiency rating, the clinics had to pass an inspection of their policies and procedures, a review of all medications and supplies for out-dates, bio-med equipment safety and operational condition, cleanliness of clinic, complete and accurate office visit documentations for the clinic and lab, protection of patient information, licenses of staff and a review of the clinics annual program evaluation.
