Wolverines Fall To Kingsley-Pierson

WEST?BEND - The Wolverines of West Bend-Mallard/Gilmore City-Brad-gate would end up on the wrong end of a 40-24 decision at the hands of Kingsley-Pierson Friday night in Eight-Man football action. The loss drops the Wolverines to a 2-1 mark on the season as they gear up to travel to Remsen this Friday night to meet Remsen St. Mary's in district play.

Kingsley-Pierson was able to control the tempo of the contest as they were able to keep the ball and use the clock to their advantage all evening long.

West Bend-Mallard/Gilmore City-Bradgate would end the contest with just 111 yards of rushing offense in the face of the Kingsley-Pierson defense. Lincoln Fehr shouldered the brunt of the attack, rushing 10 times for 61 yards, while Dexter Knobloch carried the ball eight times to gain 28 yards. Thad Fogarty would get the ball three times to also gain 28 yards in the effort.

Quarterback Lincoln Fehr completed four of 12 passes for 137 yards for the Wolverines during the contest, but had four passes intercepted.

Danie Riesenberg would make two catches for a total of 67 yards, including a touchdown, while Trinton Schmidt had a 65-yard touchdown reception. Dexter Knobloch also had one catch for five yards in the game.

Defensively, Dexter Knobloch and Hunter Jergens both made nine and a half tackles on the night, while Brandon Fehr added eight stops. Mason Studer and Coleman Grimm both made seven tackles and Thad Fogarty and Trinton Schmidt both made six tackles in the game for the Wolverines.
