Titans Win Big In Opener, 42-0

GLIDDEN - The season opened with a bang for the Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire Titans as they romped to a 42-0 win over Glidden-Ralston Friday night.

The Titans picked up where they left off last season, guided by quarterback Jacob Conlon, who put the ball in the air completing five of eight attempts for 152 yards on Friday night.

Tommy Geelan made two catches for 54 yards, while Jace Naig made a 73-yard reception and Kolton Roth added a 15 yard catch. Nate Larson rounded out the receiving show with a reception for a 10-yard gain.

Conlon would rush for a total of 86 yards in the contest and accounted for a pair of touchdowns, as the ground game remained strong from last season. Kolton Roth would score three touchdowns for GT/RA as he carried the ball 17 times to gain 40 yards.

Treyton Cacek would come away with 32 yards off five carries, while Nate Larson added 10 yards from a pair of rushes and Chris Conlon picked up three yards on one attempt.

The defense got in its licks, as Nate Larson returned a fumble 10 yards for a touchdown on his way to recovering three loose balls in the game. Brody Krieg also recovered a fumble, while Jace Naig and Treyton Cacek both made interceptions.

Kolton Roth would tally 10 tackles for the Titans, while Treyton Cacek added seven and Jace Naig and Shey Royster both made six and a half stops.

The Titans host Northwood-Kensett on Friday in Graettinger.
