Emmetsburg Men’s Open Golf Tourney Tees Off Saturday

The 2017 edition of the Emmetsburg Men's Open tees off this Saturday morning at the Five Island Golf Course in Emmetsburg. Last year's tournament attracted a total of 103 golfers to the links.

Last year's winner, Michael Pugh, captured the championship in a playoff with Jimmy Geelan by shooting a 97.

The tournament also featured Hole-In-One that won Clayton Freeman of Emmetsburg a 2016 Ford Fusion, sponssored by Farmers Mutual Insurance of Emmetsburg and Emmetsburg and West Bend Ford.

The Hole-In-One contest will be offered again this year, with the top prize being a 2017 Ford Focus.

Competition will be offered in three divisions: Mens' up to age 55; Seniors from ages 55-70 and Super Seniors, ages 71 and above.
